Prime Minister Narendra Modi struck a positive note on India's growth story, emphasizing that his government is focused on both the challenges and opportunities of the future. He appealed to business leaders to work alongside the government to transform India into a Viksit Bharat by 2047. He assured India's business community that his administration would maintain a stable policy regime and match it with positive disruption.
Addressing prominent business leaders from India and around the world at the inaugural edition of The Economic Times World Leaders Forum, the Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to accelerating progress during his third term. He highlighted that India is currently the land of the greatest possibilities, and in its prosperity lies the prosperity of the world.
"We promise to facilitate, and you must promise to innovate. We promise to reform, and you must promise to perform. We will provide a stable policy regime, and you must engage in positive disruption. We will focus on high growth, and you must focus on high quality," the Prime Minister said, drawing applause from the audience.
He emphasized that this growth trajectory will be achieved through teamwork, where private entities collaborate closely with the government.
"Think big. Together, we need to create multiple success stories for the country. Today's Bharat is the largest land of opportunities in the world. Today's Bharat respects wealth creators. A strong Bharat can uplift humanity, and a prosperous Bharat can pave the way for global prosperity. We must adhere to the mantra of innovation, inclusion, and international cooperation," the Prime Minister said. He also stressed that not only Indians living in the country but also those settled abroad must contribute to this vision.
"I would appeal to all Indians, both in the country and abroad, to come forward and join this journey. Let's make India a developed nation, because in India's prosperity lies the prosperity of the world. I am confident that we can achieve this target," Modi said.
The Prime Minister further emphasized that India has repeatedly outperformed both predictions and its peers. He noted that the economy has witnessed a remarkable 90% growth.
