Apple recently hosted its much-anticipated ‘Glowtime’ event, unveiling a range of new products and updates across its lineup. Here’s a comprehensive overview of everything announced:
iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus
Apple launched its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series, featuring the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. The iPhone 16 is priced at Rs 79,900, while the iPhone 16 Plus starts at Rs 90,000. Both models are available with varying storage options and come in new colour choices such as Teal and Ultramarine. Pre-orders for the devices begin on September 13.
The iPhone 16 comes with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display and the new Dynamic Island feature, previously introduced on Pro models. The iPhone 16 Plus offers a 6.7-inch display with identical specifications. Both models are powered by Apple's latest chip, featuring a 6-core CPU, and a 5-core GPU, and run on iOS 18. The new models support advanced AI features demonstrated at WWDC 2024. The camera system includes a 48-megapixel wide-angle lens with 2x in-sensor zoom, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 12-megapixel TrueDepth front camera. The devices also support Spatial Video, and NFC, and feature a USB Type-C port.
iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max
Apple also revealed the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, which are available for Rs 1,19,900 and Rs 1,31,000, respectively, in India. The Pro models are offered in new colour options like Desert Titanium and Natural Titanium and come with up to 1TB of storage. Pre-orders start on September 13, with sales beginning shortly thereafter.
Both Pro models feature the second-generation custom Apple Silicon chip, delivering a 20% performance improvement over previous generations. They include a Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 48-megapixel wide lens, a 12-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens. The front camera is a 12-megapixel TrueDepth unit. They also come with new features such as the Action Button, 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, and advanced charging capabilities via MagSafe or Qi2 wireless charging.
AirPods 4
Apple introduced the AirPods 4, priced at $129 (about Rs 10,700) for the standard model and $179 (approximately Rs 15,000) for the version with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). The new AirPods are powered by a new Apple acoustic architecture designed to improve sound quality, support gesture controls, and provide voice isolation during calls. The charging case supports both USB Type-C and wireless charging, and the AirPods will be available from September 20.
Apple Watch Series 10 and Watch Ultra 2
Apple also unveiled the Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2. The Watch Series 10 starts at $399 (around Rs 35,000) for the GPS model, while the Watch Ultra 2, available in a new Black Titanium colour, is priced at $799. Pre-orders begin today, with availability on September 20.

The Apple Watch Series 10 features a new wide-angle OLED display, making it the largest and brightest display on an Apple Watch to date, while also being the thinnest at just 9.7mm. Powered by the latest chip, it includes a new sleep apnea detection feature, which uses an accelerometer to monitor breathing patterns and analyze sleep quality. The Watch Ultra 2 focuses on durability and performance monitoring, with enhanced performance and faster charging capabilities.
